- * Description *
-
- This level is a modification of level 1, which was created by
- those crazy guys at ID Software, for one of the greatest games ever
- DOOM ][.
-
- Since much competetive play is done on level 1 and an equal amount
- of bitching done about it, we decided to modify it to make it more
- appealing to everyone.
-
- This level works very well with 2 players and generates
- high frag counts in a short period of time.
-

- * New to this implementation *
-
- - Got rid of the BFG 2000s since so many pussies bitched about
- them. We took out the box of rockets so that there isn't so
- many flying around the damn place, so use them wisely. We also
- took out the chain-gun leading in to the first hallway so that
- your damn gun doesn't change to it while wheeling around the
- corner.
-
- - Changed the respawning point so that there isn't so many frags
- in a row. (Don't you just hate it when you get fragged and respawn
- right in front of the bastard?).
-
- - Added a new room off of the second where the 100% armour was.
- We changed the armour to 200% armour for added fun. In the
- new room we put an invisosphere and a backpack so don't forget
- to make it there before your buddy.
-
- - We connected the outsides of the level. You can no longer be
- safe knowing your buddy could be creeping up behind you. No more
- trapping someone outdoors because they have two ways of getting out.
-
- - We took out the chainsaw and put in a berzerk pack (you know you
- always wanted to splat a some little obnoxious kid with your fist
- for added humiliation). It also makes for good health.
-
- - We modified the one player start point, you know, the one with
- the BFG the rocket launcher and the shotgun right by the chainsaw?
- Instead of a BFG we give you a chaingun. We put steps leading up
- to the platform so that everyone has access to these weapons. We
- also took out the back and put in a lift.
-
- - Two cubby-holes are now in the level so that you can hide and wait
- for your buddy to come down the halls. The first one is off to the
- left of the first hall and the second is off to the left as you go
- down the hallway headed towards the rocket launcher.
-
- - We put a switch in the first room that opens the exit. It now requires
- two people to exit, so you have to agree when to count up the frags.
- It also prevents some little jerk exiting this fast level so that he can
- run around the "Underhalls" to escape from getting fragged.
-
- - Last but not least, we replaced the old sounds with some the
- "Army of Darkness" sounds. I don't know who made the original wad but
- you can find it in any decent DOOM lib. Hats off to him/her whoever
- he/she is.
-
- - Well that is about it, have fun and remember: DOOM shall set us free.
